One day, FU crashes with a stranger in the street, who gives him a note. Later, he finds that this stranger is familiar with the lottery organizer, who gives the stranger a note as well. FU believes that the note is related to the answer of the lottery; hence, he bets all his savings on it, so that he can resign from Tung Mud Yuen. He then puts the lottery ticket in a biscuit box; however, KATE gives away the biscuit to a beggar. FU thinks that he loses a chance and blames KATE for her carelessness.
