Despite having a fever, Mayama decides to take part in the school festival. With the support of his friends and Asamiya, he realizes that he has finally found a place where he belongs and that his feelings for Asamiya have grown into love. But just as he gathers the courage to respond to Asamiya’s confession, Asamiya surprises him by saying, “You don’t have to like me.”
