Đorđe Lebović was a Serbian writer, playwright and screenwriter. As a fifteen-year-old, due to his Jewish origin, he was interned in the infamous German concentration camps of Auschwitz, Mauthausen, and Sachsenhausen. He is famous for writing the screenplays for some of the most famous Yugoslav war movies, as well as for his novel Semper Idem, about his experiences in concentration camps.
