Laquarn Lewis is a Nottingham-born actor recognised for his warmth, charisma and emotionally grounded performances. He began his training at Nottingham’s Television Workshop, where he developed a passion for both stage and screen. Inspired in part by his mother’s own career in acting (The Girl With Brains in Her Feet, Casualty), Laquarn grew up with a deep connection to storytelling. He first appeared on screen in the CBBC drama Jamie Johnson, playing Elliot in a multi-episode arc. He went on to earn wider recognition for his portrayal of Lady Die in the BBC series What It Feels Like for a Girl, adapted from Paris Lees’s acclaimed memoir. As Byron’s loyal and flamboyant confidant, his performance explored themes of identity, friendship and self-discovery with authenticity and flair. Dedicated to telling stories that uplift underrepresented voices, Laquarn continues to build a career defined by versatility, heart and a commitment to truthful character work.
