Evgeny Georgievich Popov is a Russian politician, journalist and a deputy of the 8th State Duma. He was included by the Security Service of Ukraine on the list of individuals banned from entering Ukrainian territory.[19] Since February 24, 2022, due to his support for Russian aggression and the violation of Ukraine's territorial integrity during the Russian-Ukrainian war, he has been under personal international sanctions imposed by 27 European Union countries.
