This was in the category of the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects; his nomination was shared with Daniel Barrett, Joe Letteri, and R. Christopher White. His second nomination was at the 87th Academy Awards for the film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. His nomination was shared with Letteri, Barrett, and Erik Winquist. He received his third nomination (and first win) at the 89th Academy Awards for The Jungle Book, together with Robert Legato, Adam Valdez, and Andrew R. Jones. His fourth nomination was at the 90th Academy Awards for the film War for the Planet of the Apes, together with Letteri, Barrett, and Joel Whist.
